Four Coast Mountain College alumni will join other women carvers from the Northwest Coast for an exhibition at the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, BC titled CURVE! Women Carvers on the Northwest Coast. Arlene Ness, Cherish Alexander, Stephanie Anderson, and Veronica Waechter are displaying pieces alongside other iconic female carvers, including Ellen Neel, Freda Diesing, and Doreen Jensen, in the upcoming show.
The Rising Star Program matches Coast Mountain College students with Prince Rupert District Chamber of Commerce members who have volunteered to become mentors. Mentors and the Chamber introduce students to the local world of business. Students who complete the program are awarded a $500 Rising Star Bursary.

Coast Mountain College would like to congratulate Callan Williamson, LPN and instructor in the Health Care program, on receiving the Terrace Fire Chief’s Commendation for his heroic actions during a motor vehicle accident on Highway 16 this past summer. Callan played a pivotal role in managing the scene, providing first aid, and ensuring the safety of all involved.
Coast Mountain College is proud to announce that the the 2025 President's Choice Award goes to Elijah Morberg with his piece "Raven - Tsesk'iye." The 2025 Honrouable Mention goes to Kashka Clellamin for "The Balance Between." Elijah and Kashka's pieces will be on exhibit, along with works by fellow Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art 1st and 2nd year students, at the Terrace Art Gallery until the end of February 2025.
