Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program Instructor (Term)

Job description and duties

Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus and Terrace/Kitimat Hospital, invites applications for a College Professor(s) in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program (NCBNP). The appointment will commence August 25, 2026 and end May 08, 2027 (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the CUPE Instructor Scale (range: $5,775.84 to $9,255.50 per section).

Duties:  College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students in the Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing program (NCBNP). This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following courses:

NURS 101: The Art and Science of Nursing

  • Clinical (0.39 sections – Winter 2027)
  • Lab (0.27 sections – Winter 2027)
  • Lab/Clinical (0.67 Sections – Winter 2027)
  • Theory (1 section – Winter 2027)

NURS 205: Introduction to First Nations Health

  • Theory (1 section – Fall 2026)

NURS 215: Care of the Adult

  • Clinical (3.04 sections – Winter 2027)
  • Lab (0.58 sections – Winter 2027)

Qualifications

Qualifications:  A Master’s degree in Nursing, a current practicing license with the Nursing regulator college (CRNBC), and current CPR certificate along with a minimum of 5 years clinical practice experience and teaching experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered with a combination of education and experience. Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible and comfortable with change and have excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
