An Inter
-provincial Red Seal Certificate and Food Safe along with five years hospitality
industry experience as a chef. Preferred certificates and experience include a Provincial Instructional Diploma (PID)
and a minimum of three years post
-secondary instructional experience teaching Professional Cook Level 1.
Candidates local to the area (Prince Rupert) will be given preference.
Required skills, abilities and knowledge include:
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s license
• Criminal record Check Required
• Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in teaching with the ability to inspire and mentor
learners of all ages
• Knowledge and passion for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
• Effective cross-cultural communication skills, particularly with the local Indigenous communities
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and accurately in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills
• Intermediate computer skills (word processing, excel, email)
