Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Smithers Campus, invites applications for a regular full-time Library Technician role commencing August 03, 2026. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 7: $2,186.10 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties: Working with technicians and librarians who provide users with bibliographic instruction and research guidance and assistance, this position provides library circulation functions, reference services, inter-library loan services, catalogue print and non-print learning and reference material.
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Assisting with supervision of students and monitoring student activities in the lab
- Daily circulation of all print and non-print materials
- General maintenance of the library facility in Prince Rupert
- Inter-campus and inter-library loans
- Reference service
- Maintaining academic reserves
- Recalling overdue material and creating invoices
- Cataloguing and processing of all print and non-print items
- Daily library system and equipment troubleshooting
- All other tasks (of similar scope and complexity) as required
